Weekend Getaways Campaign

CNN asked Fusebox to create a mini-site to showcase their Weekend Getaways Sweepstakes. The mini-site needed to integrate all the sweepstakes’ sponsors: Travel+Leisure (main sponsor), CNN, and Infiniti.

Fusebox produced a site that served as an information hub, pulling in an RSS feed with CNN.com Weekend Getaway Videos, showcasing a new Infiniti model and link to their site, and featuring a T+L banner linking to their Weekend Getaway Finder.
We utilized 3D physics to create a realistic cloth effect in Flash for the falling banner. In addition, we created an interactive map featuring the various prize vacation destinations available.

The campaign proved to be a success, with a record number of entries. After all, one of the few things better than travel—is traveling for free!
